GREAT BEND -&nbsp;Evelyn Mahan, 86, fell asleep in death on November 28, 2020, at Diversicare of Hutchison. She was born on June 18, 1934, in Batesville, Miss. She was married twice. To the first union two sons were born, Lewis and Danny Joe Smith. She has five grandchildren, Steven, Travis, David, Jaclyn, and Kevin; and three great grandchildren, Nolani, Niko, and Kalen.&nbsp;

She was a med aide for many years. She dedicated her life to Jehovah on June 6, 1955. She loved playing card games and marbles. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends, crocheting, making homemade ice cream and fishing. Her greatest passion was participating in her Bible ministry work, serving as a regular pioneer for 48 years.&nbsp;
