Jeffrey Williamson, age 66

Jeffrey Lynn Williamson, 66, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Feb. 27, 2024, at Stafford County Hospital.

He was born Dec. 4, 1957, in Tulsa, Okla. to Jerry and Janice Williamson.

In 1975, Jeff graduated from Macksville High School. He furthered his education at Goodland Vo-Tech and graduated with a degree in plumbing. On Sept. 15, 1978, he married Shari Lynn Coen. He then returned to St. John and later began working for the City of St. John in 1980. He worked in various positions for the city and was currently employed as the Supervisor over the electrical department.

Jeff loved doing electrical and plumbing work, tinkering in his shop, and playing golf. He enjoyed spending time with his Belgian horses, pulling various types of wagons and trolleys, watching baseball, attending classic rock concerts, and spending time with his kids and grandkids. In 2013, Jeff received the gift of life and was a liver transplant recipient which allowed him 11 more years with his family and friends. After his transplant, he enjoyed planning his doctor appointments around the Kansas City Royals home games that he would attend with his daughter, Betsy.

Jeff is survived by his wife: Shari, daughters: Gabrielle Roach (Aaron) and Betsy Williamson, grandchildren: Paityn, Carter, Cayson Roach, brothers: Bill (Cathy), Brian (Susy), sister; Lori Martin (Marty), several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog: Roxy. Jeff’s grandkids were his pride and joy. He enjoyed taking them to baseball and hockey games as well as watching them participate in wrestling, volleyball, baseball, and various other school activities.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Celebration of Life service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 2, 2024, at IOOF Lodge, St. John, with Pastor Tom Harrison and Pastor Wade Russell presiding. Service will be viewable via Facebook Live at www.beckwithmortuary.com/beckwithmortuary. Family requests casual attire. Cremation has taken place and a private burial will take place at a later date.
