Forty points in a high school basketball game is a rare feat. Friday night in Dodge City, Great Bend High School senior Jacob Hall went past 40 points. An unofficial total of 43 points announced after Friday's win would have set a new GBHS single-game record for most points in a game. Upon further review, Hall officially finished with 42 points in the game.

That effort still ties the school's single-game scoring record, set by Anthony Guliford in the 1990-1991 season.
