The Garden City Buffaloes used three forfeit victories at open weights to beat the Great Bend Panthers 38-32 in a Western Athletic Conference dual in Garden City Thursday.
Great Bend won seven matches to Garden City's four, but the Panthers didn't have any wrestlers to fill the 106, 170 and 285 pound weight classes which gave the Buffs the needed points to record the dual victory.
The Panthers stay in Garden to Participate in the prestigious Rocky Welton Inviational that starts on Friday.
