The orthopedics, physical therapy and sports medicine care team welcomes Dana Jackson, PA, certified physician assistant, to The University of Kansas Health System in Great Bend.
Jackson earned her Bachelor of Science degree in allied health at Doane College in Lincoln, Nebraska, and her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Union College, also in Lincoln. She has a particular interest in sports medicine.
“The most important part of my job is educating my patients about their treatment options,” Jackson says. “Then, when they make a decision, I support them in it.”
Jackson and her family came to Great Bend to be closer to family who live in Oklahoma. They like smaller towns that offer the outdoor activities they enjoy, and Great Bend provides that for them.
Jackson is married with two sons who are involved in several sports. They like to spend time as a family outdoors, especially at the lake in summer where they swim, fish and go tubing.
