October may be the favorite month for book lovers in Great Bend. The Great Bend Public Library will begin its annual book sale on Friday, Oct. 20. Adult Services Librarian Erin Ferguson said there will be a change this year.
"The book sale will open on Friday the 20th, and run Friday and Saturday 10-5, and Monday and Tuesday 9-6," she said. "People are welcome to make a donation but otherwise, we're not doing the early bird thing this year. We're going to see how that works."
The book sale will once again be held in the basement of the library. Hardcover books are one dollar and everything else is 50 cents. Half-price day will be Monday, Oct. 23 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the following day will be donation day. The library is closed on Sunday.
