No thimble, top hat, or iron is required to play this kind of Monopoly. Great Bend is once again celebrating June Jaunt June 2-4, and the city has a new addition to its jumbo game lineup at Jack Kilby Square. From June 1-12, players can visit participating area businesses as part of Great Bend Jumbo Monopoly.

"Participating stores will have a community chest question for you," said Great Bend Convention and Visitor's Bureau Director Christina Hayes. "You go into the stores, you answer the question - it doesn't matter if it's right or wrong - but you'll answer the question and they give you a sticker for the space."

Players who collect stickers from at least 20 of the 30 participating businesses can enter their game into a raffle for one of five $50 gift certificates to be used in any of the participating businesses.

"It's just a fun way to learn a little bit about Great Bend, see what we have in our wonderful stores, and of course, win prizes," Hayes said. "We would love for you to pick up the cards. We have them at city hall, we have them at the Event Center, and of course, we have them at all the participating businesses."

Great Bend is one of several stops along K-96 Highway celebrating the 12th annual June Jaunt. Activities begin at Jack Kilby Square at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 2, and wrap with a performance of the Taylor Fugitt Band at 9:30 p.m. Saturday evening.
