
On Friday, Dec. 8 at about 5 p.m., Barton County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Sherman Street in the City of Great Bend. Upon contact with the driver, deputies encountered a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.
Upon further investigation, Sheriff’s deputies located suspected marijuana and approximately two ounces of suspected methamphetamine. Deputies also seized numerous items of drug paraphernalia.
The driver was identified as Paul Schilowsky, age 58 of Great Bend, and the passenger identified as Jack Ochs, age 30 also of Great Bend. Both were placed under arrest and transported to the Barton County Jail. Both Schilowsky and Ochs were booked on requested charges of possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both have since posted a $10,000 bond and have been released.
