After taking some time off from the COVID-19 pandemic, the USD 428
Education Foundation Dinner & Auction returns this year and is scheduled
for Nov. 10.
This is the foundation’s only fundraiser each year, and all the money raised
goes to mini-grants for Great Bend teachers and school buildings.
Foundation president Tina Mingenback said this year’s theme is “Wings on
Warriors.”
"The theme represents the teachers and staff over the last couple of years dealing with COVID and doing online classes," said Mingenback.
The evening starts at 6 p.m. with a social hour, dinner at 6:30 p.m. and the
live auction at 8 p.m. Along with a silent auction, the Great Bend High School
Madrigal Pop Singers will perform.
To preview the event, the Education Foundation will host the Great Bend Chamber
of Commerce coffee hour on Oct. 20 at 9 a.m. at the District
Education Center, 201 South Patton Road.
"We'll hand out door prizes and tickets for the event," said Mingenback. "We'll be promoting the event and talking about what to look for on November 10th."
Tickets are $55 and can be purchased at the district office on Patton
Road, calling the office at 620-793-1500 or online by clicking HERE. The foundation is also still accepting business sponsorships.
