During Tuesday's meeting, the Barton County Commission recognized April 6–12, 2026 as National Public Health Week, highlighting the critical role public health professionals play in improving the well-being of communities.

From disease prevention and emergency preparedness to mental health awareness and access to care, public health efforts continue to positively impact the lives of Barton County residents every day. The 2026 theme, “Ready. Set. Action!”, serves as a reminder of the importance of proactive steps in building healthier communities.

Together, these proclamations reflect Barton County’s continued commitment to celebrating achievement, supporting one another, and investing in the well-being of its residents.
