The Barton County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the Barton County Health Department, will be sponsoring a drug take back day on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The drop off location is on the east side of the Barton County Courthouse, near the intersection of Lakin and Kansas Street across from the Health Department.

This is an opportunity for the general public and long-term care facilities to dispose of prescription medications that are no longer needed. Medication collected is then turned over to the DEA for destruction. There is no fee for this service.
