Kory Brunson is originally from Great Bend and has toured the country
over the years as part of the Kory Brunson Band. Brunson will return to Great
Bend Aug. 13 as the headliner for this year’s Party in the Park.
The 10th annual festival will begin at 8:30 a.m. with an obstacle
mud run and will include events such as a kite display, wet/dry parade, food and a car show.
Great Bend Community Coordinator Christina Hayes said Brunson is also part of a
band called “Crash Dadeez” and will perform a kids concert to open the musical
acts.
"So this year, we're opening the gates for the first two hours and it will be a kids concert," said Hayes. "Kids will get in free with their paying adult. We'll have Fool House, coming from Florida, the ultimate 90s dance party. We'll have our fireworks and end with the Kory Brunson Band."
Party in the Park takes place at Veterans Memorial Park.
