Meth located after Great Bend driver tries to flee traffic stop

On Tuesday, June 25, at approximately 7:04 p.m., an officer with the Great Bend Police Department conducted a traffic stop at Kwik Kar Wash, 4920 10th Street. The driver, Joshua Frydendall, jumped out of the vehicle and started to run around the corner of the car wash. Frydendall was located a short distance away and escorted back to the vehicle.

Great Bend Police Department K-9 Niko was deployed and subsequently alerted to the vehicle. Through investigation, a sizeable quantity of suspected methamphetamine was located. Frydendall was arrested and booked in lieu of bond.
