Theodore Joseph “Teddy” Jacobs, 66, Goodland, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Goodland Regional Medical Center, Goodland, Kansas.
Teddy was born January 22, 1957, in Hays, Kansas, the son of Melvin A. and Wanda L. (Ochs) Jacobs. He was a resident of Goodland, Kansas, for 30+ years.
He enjoyed participating in Special Olympics, attending county fairs, and craft fairs, camping, and dancing. He especially loved his rocking chair.
Survivors include: three brothers, Melvin G. Jacobs, Great Bend, Kansas, Paul A. Jacobs (Lori), Great Bend, Kansas, and Patrick L. Jacobs (Sally), Rush Center, Kansas; one sister, Diana Lynn Bakeberg (Randy), Gastonia, North Carolina; eight nephews and nieces, Tyson Jacobs (Tami), Aaron Jacobs (Jennifer), Andrew Jacobs (Amanda), Alex Jacobs, Austin Jacobs, Adam Jacobs, Katrina Jacobs, and Megan Jacobs; and seven great nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Wayne Jacobs; one sister in law, Clydene Jacobs; and two nieces, Kimberly Jacobs, and Elizabeth Jacobs.
Memorial service will be Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at the Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse, Kansas, with Pastor Mark Sizemore officiating. Inurnment will be in the La Crosse City Cemetery, La Crosse, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers or plants, the family requests memorials to Special Olympics.
