Benefit Management Inc. (BMI) in Great Bend shut down Wednesday morning and has filed for bankruptcy.

BMI, with their main location on 16th Street in downtown Great Bend, notified approximately 100 employees Wednesday that all operations were coming to an end.

The business, which started in 1995, served as a health insurance and benefit administrator for several entities, including local businesses such as USD 428 and Barton Community College.
