Calvin Levi “Bubba” Weese Jr., 69, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020, at his home in Great Bend. He was born November 24, 1950, in Pratt the son of Calvin and Helen (Miller) Weese.
Calvin has been a Great Bend resident since 1989, coming from Manhattan. He was a police officer for the city of Manhattan for twenty years, after retiring from the police department he worked for Wal-Mart in Great Bend for twenty years. He was a member of Church of Christ. He enjoyed going to Colorado and camping, 4-wheeling and shooting.
Survivors include one son Kenneth Johnson of Wichita; two daughters Tina (Bill) Kausler of Junction City and Nicole (John) Stroh of Manhattan; four brothers Greg (Cindy) Weese of Kansas City, MO, Jeff (Lanette) Weese, and Kevin Weese all of Great Bend, Sean (Debbie) Weese of St Louis, MO.; two sisters Sherry (Tom) Stewart of Enporia, and Kim Jordan of Great Bend; five grandchildren Megan Wood, Ryan Francis, Nicholas, Konner, Korey Johnson; three great-grandchildren Molly and Nathan Wood and Paxton Johnson.
Services will be announced at a later time by the Family. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
A memorial is suggested to the Church of Christ, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
