For the fifth year, the city of Great Bend and the Sunflower Diversified Services Recycling Center are teaming up to conduct a free city-wide cleanup October 9th through the 18th. Residents will be able to dump office paper, newspapers and magazines, aluminum cans, metal, plastic and glass bottles, corrugated cardboard, mattresses and appliances. Tires, construction waste and household hazardous waste products will not be accepted. Dumpsters will be set up at the Sunflower Diversified Services parking lot, 5605 10th Street.
