The Great Bend Lady Panthers were three outs away from knocking off Garden City Tuesday at the Great Bend Sports Complex, but the Buffs rallied to tie the game with two in the seventh and won it with a pair of runs in the ninth to win 7-5.
Garden City improved to 9-1 with the victory while the Lady Panthers saw their record drop to 5-9.
The two teams meet again Thursday in Garden City for a Western Athletic Conference double header.
