In an effort to gain more funding for improvements at the Great Bend Sports Complex, the City of Great Bend will be selling advertising along the outfield fences of the varsity baseball and softball fields. Al Burns Field and Lawson-Biggs Field at Barton Community College have done similar advertising with business logos attached to the fence.
Great Bend Interim City Administrator
Logan Burns said any money coming from the sponsorships will be deposited into
the capital improvement fund for the Sports Complex.
"It'll go for upgrades or maintenance," said Burns. "Just like the backstops, netting, turf replacement or anything for upgrades or maintenance at the Sports Complex."
Burns said there are also four areas available for sponsorships along the east
and south corridors coming into the Sports Complex.
Outfield signs, 4' x 8', are selling for $4,000 or $7,000 for a sign on both varsity fields. Great Bend is also seeking scoreboard sponsorships. For $25,000, your name or business would be placed above the scoreboard. Contact Burns at [email protected] for more information.
