While working an injury accident at the Ellsworth / Barton County line on K-156 Highway, two Barton County Sheriff’s Office patrol cars were struck when an eastbound truck tractor and semi-trailer failed to stop at the accident scene.
Both deputies were out of their vehicles when the accident occurred. Neither of the deputies, nor the truck driver, were injured.
The accident is under investigation by the Kansas Highway Patrol.
