GRAY COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 8 a.m. Thursday in Gray County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2022 Ford F250 driven by Saul Guerra-Montelongo, age 24 of Great Bend, was westbound on the north shoulder of U.S. 50 Highway, four miles east of Kansas 23. The driver attempted a U-turn and failed to yield.
A westbound 2012 Ford Fusion driven by Bridget Marie James, age 47 of Dodge City, struck the pickup.
EMS transported James to the hospital in Garden City. Guerra-Montelongo was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
