The Barton Lady Cougar softball team traveled west Wednesday for a Jayhawk Conference double header with Colby and came back with a split of the twinbill.
Colby took game one 8-5 after jumping out to a 5-1 lead. In game two, Barton trailed 4-1 before scoring 5-runs in the top of the 4th to take a 6-4 lead and went on to post the 15-8 victory to stay in 3rd place in the Jayhawk Conference standings.
Barton is now 15-11 in conference play and 21-17 overall. Colby is 13-11 and 26-16.
The Lady Cougars now get a week off before hosting 8th ranked Butler next Wednesday, April 20.
