BARTON COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 10:30a.m. Sunday in Barton County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Honda CTX700 driven by Linda S. Schneider, 69, Ralston, Nebraska, was eastbound on Kansas 156 just west of NE 100 Avenue. The motorcycle had a mechanical malfunction. The driver lost control of the vehicle. It entered the westbound lanes and the driver landed in the west ditch.
EMS transported Schneider to the hospital in Great Bend. She was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
