Glenda Marie Miller, 82, passed away February 24, 2023 at home, Bowie, Texas.
She was born April 3, 1940 in Larned, Kansas; the daughter of Herman and Nina Wimberly Vratil; a short time after Herman passed away, she was adopted and raised by her father, Leo Vratil. After spending her younger years in Larned, Glenda married Robert W.A. Miller (Bob) in Salina, Kansas on Oct. 1, 1960.
Glenda was a busy Air Force spouse moving around the country to multiple Air Force bases in support of her husband and country. Once retired from the Air Force gig, they moved to Colorado, where she became a successful realtor and owned New Home Connection with Bob. She loved spending time with her family and friends! She was very proud of her heritage and loved telling the stories of her family while sifting through thousands of photos with them. All who knew her were truly blessed to hear the history of her family and life experiences. Glenda enjoyed reading, played an occasional game of Bingo and occasionally, tried her luck at the Criple Creek Casinos with her friends. She enjoyed being a member of the St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, in Colorado Springs, along with her husband Bob. After Bob’s passing in 2016, she remained a long time Colorado Springs resident and then eventually moved to Texas to be with children Greg and Patty in December of 2021.
Glenda was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Many are sad with her passing, but know our beloved Glenda went home to be with her heavenly Father and celebrating in heaven today as she reunites with her husband, mother, fathers, niece and many aunts, uncles and cousins that passed before her.
