Barton County’s third annual Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge is less
than a month away. The competition will challenge the youth, encourage the
business community to partner with and mentor the younger generation, and
create more opportunities for entrepreneurship.
Open to any middle school and high school students in Barton County,
participants will put together a tradeshow presentation of their business idea
and share it with the public. They will also present a formal four-minute
presentation to the judges.
Great Bend Economic Development Director Sara Arnberger said there are eight
students signed up, and there is still a need for those interested in judging
the competition.
"If you are available on March 8 and have a passion for business and would like to hear these students' ideas, I would love to hear from you," said Arnberger.
There is $2,500 in prize money to be divided among the top three competitors.
The Challenge will take place March 8 at the Great Bend Events Center from 11
a.m. to 2 p.m.
