The Cottonwood Extension District and 11 participating seed companies will be hosting a Grain Sorghum Plot Field Day on Friday, Sept. 19. Beginning at 8:30 a.m. and concluding about 10:00 a.m. It is located one mile east of Hoisington on Highway 4, then go North on NE 10th Avenue for ¾ of a mile.
These field days not only give farmers a chance to see and hear about the hybrids from company representatives, but for farmer to farmer sharing of experiences and ideas, says Stacy Campbell Extension Agent with the Cottonwood District.
Complimentary donuts and refreshments will be available. All interested people are invited to attend. In case of inclement weather, it will be held at 1286 Susank Road, Hoisington.
