The Golden Belt Community Concert Association will present Going Gershwin at 7 p.m. Nov. 12, in the Great Bend Municipal Auditorium, Lakin and Stone. Doors open at 6:15 p.m.
GBCCA concerts are open to association members. No single tickets are available. Because the association encourages young people’s interest in music and the performing arts, full-time students are admitted to the concerts for a $5 donation at the door.
Ryan & Ryan take the stage with their latest show Going Gershwin, celebrating one of America’s greatest composers, George Gershwin. They are an accomplished father-son piano duo drawing upon classic and contemporary music to create enthralling concert experiences.
Donald Ryan, a native of Trinidad & Tobago, Donald came to the United States to study music, earning degrees from Oral Roberts University and the University of Tulsa. His son, Barron, has been playing piano since the age of 4. He distinguished himself in piano studies at the University of Oklahoma and has been a featured soloist across the United States and internationally. Father and son amaze audiences with skill, expressiveness, and a love of making music.
