Postseason volleyball begins Monday for area volleyball teams. As the No. 6 team in Class 3A and the No. 2 team in Class 2A, Hoisington and Ellinwood, respectively, will host regional tournaments on Monday. The top two teams from each regional will advance to substate play.
Class 3A action begins at 5 p.m. Monday at the Hoisington Activity Center. The Lady Cardinals enter as the No. 1 seed in the regional with Cimarron seeded at No. 8, Ellsworth at No. 9, and Lyons at No. 16. Larned, as the No. 14 seed overall, will play at Norton on Monday. Russell, as the No. 12 seed overall, heads to Colby.
In Class 2A, Ellinwood enters as the No. 1 seed. Action begins at 4 p.m. Monday at Ellinwood High School. The Ellinwood regional includes No. 8 seed Stanton County, No. 9 seed Hoxie, and No. 16 seed Hill City.
Otis will host a Class 1A, Div. II regional. The Lady Cougars enter the regional as the No. 1 seed with round-robin action that includes No. 8 seed Logan/Palco and No. 9 seed Minneola. Action begins at 4 p.m. at Otis-Bison High School.
Substate action for all classifications, including 5A Great Bend, is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 26. The No. 9 Lady Panthers will host a bracket.
