Art from pair of CKCA students selected for statewide exhibit in Topeka

Central Kansas Christian Academy has announced that Sophia Strecker and Alejandro Carbajal were selected to represent the school in the Youth Art Month Exhibit at the Topeka Shawnee County Public Library. This art exhibit celebrates Youth Art Month and features artwork from students throughout the state of Kansas.

The Youth Art Month exhibit will be on display from Feb. 24 through March 28.

The Library is located at 1515 SW 10th Ave, Topeka, KS and the hours are as follows:  Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. 

The Kansas Art Education Association would like to invite you to join us in our Celebration/Reception for student artists, their families, and educators Saturday, March 28 from 11:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.  The Celebration/Reception will be held in the Shawnee County Topeka Public Library. There will be time for guests to view the artwork, a guest speaker, recognition of students, activities, sale of YAM merchandise and light refreshments.  The library will open at 9 a.m. —YAM activities will be set up by 11. The Awards Ceremony will begin around 1 p.m.
