
Imogene Goodwin, 88, passed away March 5, 2025, at her home in Great Bend, Kansas. She was born on May 25, 1936, in Franklin, Arkansas, to Andrew Jackson and Retta Merelene (England) Reeves. On January 8, 1953, she married Vernon McCord in Marked Tree, Arkansas; they later divorced. Imogene then married Abe Goodwin on December 20, 1986, in Pawnee Rock. He passed on April 16, 2020.
A resident of Great Bend since the 1970s, Imogene was a homemaker. Those skills were also shared when she became a cook for Cherry Village and baker for different school systems. She enjoyed flower gardening, baking her famous cinnamon rolls and pecan pies, and was known for keeping the cleanest house.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Maser and husband Daniel of Great Bend, and Shirley Flick and husband Doug of Great Bend; two sons, Bill McCord and wife Tanya of Ellinwood, and Larry McCord and wife Diana of Hawthorne, Florida; nine grandchildren, Shannon Stephens, Dal Peterson, Christopher Maser, Brandon Maser, Ryan Flick, Daniel Flick, Heather Dombroski, Christopher McCord, and Jason Daily; several great-grandchildren; brother, James Earl Reeves and wife Betty of Truman, Arkansas; many nieces and nephews; and beloved dachshund, Bella.
She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Marlin Reeves, Boyd Reeves, and George Reeves; and sisters, Wilma Joe Wardlow, Mary Ellen Lara, Emily Morgan, and Cathy Darlene Reeves.
