Arrests in Great Bend from burglaries investigation

On Monday, July 22, at approximately 3:55 p.m., Great Bend Police Department detectives and the special service team executed two search warrants at 1123 Stone Street, Apt B and 2817 20th Street, both in Great Bend, regarding an ongoing investigation regarding multiple burglaries. 

Upon entry at 1123 Stone, officers made contact with Eric Torres, W/M39, and Rebecca Muckenthaler, W/F41.

During a thorough search of the properties stolen property regarding these investigations were recovered at the residence of 2817 20th Street.  Detectives also located methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Eric Torres was arrested for burglary, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and no drug tax stamp.  Torres was transported to the Barton County Jail where he was booked on these charges in lieu of $20,000 cash surety bond.

Rebecca Muckenthaler was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and no drug tax stamp.  Muckenthaler was transported to the Barton County Jail where she was booked on these charges in lieu of $10,000 cash surety bond.
