
On Wednesday, Oct. 5 at approximately 10:48 p.m., an officer with the Great Bend Police Department was observing traffic on 10th Street near MacArthur Road.
The officer observed a vehicle leaving the area near the Finer Mobile Home Park and observed a traffic violation. The officer conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of Patton Road. During the traffic stop, the officer observed the driver, later identified as Levi Nord, and the passenger, later identified Heather Holmes, both exhibit a number of behaviors commonly associated with criminal activity.

Great Bend Police Department K-9 "Menta" was deployed and conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle where she alerted to the possible presence of narcotics in the vehicle. During the search of the vehicle, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia associated with the use and distribution of narcotics were located. Additionally a quantity of cash was seized.
Nord and Holmes were both arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and no drug tax stamp.
