Lee earns 1st Team NJCAA All-America award

Seulgi Lee of the Barton Community College women's soccer team became the program's first two-time NJCAA All-America recipient in being named a first team selection of the 2021 award.

Landing on the second team last year, Lee is the third Lady Cougar landing on the first team and the first defender in program history to garner the national award. Lee's distinction is also the program's fifth All-America recipient and the second first team selection in Head Coach Ousmane "OC" Camara's six seasons.

The sophomore defender from Seoul, South Korea, helped guide the Cougar defense to eight shutouts for the West division's second best team effort. Offensively Lee dished out a West best 9 assists, netted a team second best 9 goals in compiling 27 points ranking second to Annika Gerdau's 29 points. The season and two-year career moved Lee into a tie for the 7th best all-time distribution total of 17 assists and moved into the 13th spot behind Gerdau with 43 total points.

Lee and the Cougars finished second in the KJCCC West at 9-3-1, completing the season 19th ranked in the nation at 13-4-1 overall.
