PAWNEE COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 1:30p.m. Tuesday in. Pawnee County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Peterbilt semi driven by Layton M. Crosby, 21, Larned, was westbound at the intersection of U.S. 56 and SW 70 Road overtaking a westbound 2012 Toyota Prius driven by Jonathan D. Bennett, 42, Oak Grove, Missouri.
The Toyota slowed and turned left into the semi.
EMS transported Bennett to Pawnee Valley Community Hospital. Crosby was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
