Rosalie Ann Urban, 83, passed away June 12, 2023, at Sandstone Heights Nursing Home in Little River. She was born July 18, 1939, at Quinter, to Balthasar J. & Angela (Von-Lintel) Richmeier. She married Arsenius A. Urban on February 20, 1960, in Great Bend.
A longtime Great Bend and Seward area resident, Rosalie was a hairdresser. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Seward, Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Great Bend and the Altar Society. She was a very talented quilter and cook, and she always made sure that her family was fed well.
Survivors include, her husband, Arsenius of the home; three sons, Wayne Urban and wife LuAnn of St. Joseph, Mo., Bryan Urban and wife Joyce of Wichita and Daryle Urban and wife Shelley of Ozawkie, Kan.; a daughter, Denise Joslin and husband Dr. Charles Joslin of Ellinwood; four sisters, Sophie, Jean, Patty and Roberta; ten grandchildren; and six great grandchildren, with the seventh to arrive in August. She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Nicholas Joslin; three brothers, Valerian, Frank and Jerry Richmeier; and two sisters, Agnes and Margie.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 16, 2023, at Bryant Funeral Home, with Altar Society rosary at 4:00 p.m. and Vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 17, 2023, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with Father Aneesh Parappanattu presiding. Interment will be in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery in Seward. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been designated to Sandstone Heights Nursing Home Activity Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
