Great Bend Police Department Community Engagement Officer Gary Davis is inviting the community to come out to the police department next Tuesday, Dec. 9 from 1-5 p.m. to take a holiday themed photo with him. Off. Davis will help spread the holiday cheer by handing out some candy.
The Great Bend Police Department will also have the annual Shop with a Cop at Walmart on Wednesday, Dec. 10 from 4-6 p.m. The program typically helps approximately 50 students and their families each year. Last year, a gift card for a holiday meal was included. In November, the Great Bend City Council approved $4,000 from the municipal court diversion fund to be used for Shop with Cop. The program is also funded by Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 23.
