
The Ellinwood Boys Golf punched its ticket to the state tournament on Monday, clearing the field with a final total of 343, 55-over par, seven strokes ahead of second place TMP.
Individually, three members of the team finished in the top 10 in the field of 57, with Luke Heinz shooting a 78, 6 over par. Austin Brack took third at 13-over, and Remi Thomas took 10th place with a final score of 16-over par.
The team will now head to compete for a state championship at Quail Ridge Golf Course in Winfield. There are a total of 26 2A schools that will be represented, with 12 schools sending a full team of six golfers. The tournament is scheduled for Tuesday, May 26th.
