The Great Bend Rotary Club announced the 2025 recipients of its annual Jr. Rotarian Scholarships. Each year, the club recognizes outstanding high school seniors who have participated in the Jr. Rotarian program, which gives students the opportunity to attend weekly Rotary meetings, interact with community leaders and learn about the values of Rotary International.
This year, four students were selected to receive $750 scholarships: Clarice Snapp, MacKenzie LaViolette, Bryce Steffan and Josephine Mazouch.

These scholarships are made possible thanks to the Rotary Club's ongoing fundraising efforts. Each year, the club collaborates with Great Bend High School (GBHS) administrators to host the Rotary Club Half Court Basketball Shot Jackpot raffle prior to each home game of the GBHS Panthers. A local business sponsors each game, and fans purchase tickets for a chance to shoot a half-court shot and win the jackpot.
Proceeds from sponsorships and ticket sales are used to fund these scholarships. The club greatly appreciates GBHS for allowing the fundraising activity, as well as the generous support from sponsors and fans.
