Elvis made a blue Christmas sound enchanting. For those suffering from the real blues, the holiday season can be anything but. The University of Kansas Health System's Golden Belt Home Health and Hospice was set to host a grief workshop on Nov. 14. Icy weather pushed that event back to Monday, Nov. 21.

"Dealing with the death of a loved one is never an easy process or journey, but dealing with that grief during the holidays can be twice as difficult," said Regan Reif, strategic marketing manager for the University of Kansas Health System. "The holiday season may bring feelings of loss that are different from what you experience throughout the rest of the year."

The course is led by trained grief counselors who will provide support and access to valuable resources that can help those in need work through the many emotions grief brings during this time of year. Because grief has no time limit, this workshop is for anyone experiencing grief from the loss of a loved one.

The workshop will begin at 7 p.m. at the Medical Office Building, 3717 6th Street, in Great Bend. For more information or to register, call (620) 792-8171.
