Bolstered by the career high performance from Brent Moss, the 2nd ranked Barton Community College men's basketball team found itself in a dogfight Friday evening in holding on for a 75-72 victory over Northern Oklahoma College-Enid capping day one of the Best Western/Booster Club Classic.

Improving to 4-0, Barton concluded the Classic Saturday with a 96-53 win over Harry S. Truman College while NOC-Enid, who drops to 4-2 on the year, take on 15th ranked Hutchinson Community College in the 3:00 p.m. contest.  The Blue Dragons rebounded from a Wednesday home loss to trounce Truman in the earlier contest 98-59.

Moss put together two solid halves to post personal bests of 27 points and 15 rebounds, none larger than securing the rebound from NOC-Enid's go-ahead attempt with 1:24 left before sinking a pair of pressure free throws after grabbing two of his eight offensive rebounds sixteen seconds later completing his 7-of-8 shooting from the stripe.

Neither team held a lead larger than eight points, NOC-Enid posting a seven point advantage six minutes into the contest with Barton's largest of eight points coming 74-seconds out of the halftime locker room.

Barton's statistical difference came at the free throw line as the Cougars pounded inside resulting in sinking 30-of-35 tosses to offset the minus-15 points from the Jets' 10-of-28 shooting from long range.

Modibo Sanogo's inside presence resulted in six trips to the stripe, sinking 10-of-12 on the way to a season high 16 points while grabbing 3 of his 5 rebounds from the offensive glass.

Keandre Kindell silently stuffed the stat sheet going 8-for-8 from the line towards his 12 points, grabbing 8 rebounds, dishing out a game high 7 assists, and provided countless big moment plays including a baseline jumper with 2:25 left pushing Barton's lead to three.

Four Jets reached double figures in being led by Oryne Stewart's 4-of-8 long distance shooting off the bench for 18 points.  Dontrell Yearby and Jordan England added 11 points while Nate Brown contributed 10 points.
