Catholic Charities of Southwest Kansas will host a free Financial Literacy Class on April 13th from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Great Bend Public Library, 1409 Williams St in Great Bend, KS.

The class, aimed at empowering individuals with the crucial skills for managing personal finances effectively, will cover essential topics such as creating a budget, savings, and more. The event is open to everyone, regardless of financial background or knowledge.

This initiative is part of Catholic Charities' commitment to fostering hope and fulfillment through service and advocacy. It aligns with their mission of honoring human potential, and it is consistent with their vision of a world where every person experiences hope and fulfillment.

"We believe that financial literacy is a key factor in personal empowerment and self-sufficiency," says Rebecca Ford, Director of Communication and Development at Catholic Charities of Southwest Kansas. "We are excited to offer this class to our community and are grateful for the generous support from the Kansas Office of the State Bank Commissioner (OSBC) that made it possible."

This initiative is made possible by a grant from the Kansas Office of the State Bank Commissioner (OSBC). The OSBC is committed to promoting financial literacy across the state, and Catholic Charities is proud to partner with them on this endeavor.
