PAWNEE COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just before 7:30a.m. Saturday in Pawnee County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by Burton Irvin McJunkin III, 71, Garfield, was westbound on U.S. 56 just west of L Road. The pickup rear-ended a Ford Versatile 9030 driven by Dennis Alan Smith, 72, Larned.
EMS transported McJunkin and Smith to the hospital in Larned. McJunkin was properly restrained, according to the KHP.
