On Tuesday, July 27 just after 3 p.m., members of the Barton County Sheriff’s Office and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation executed a joint search warrant in the city of Great Bend. Deputies arrived at an apartment complex located at 5210 10th Street and executed the warrant with only minor resistance.
Arrested at the scene was Ronald Cornell, age 63 of Great Bend. Cornell was transported to the Barton County Sheriff’s office where he was booked on a parole violation warrant as well as multiple counts of distribution of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and other charges.
Since some of the charges are separate incidents, multiple bonds will apply in excess of $100,000.
