From the Great Bend Police Department…
On July 26, the Great Bend Police Department was made aware that during the early morning hours numerous items had been stolen from residential garages and vehicles in Great Bend, Kansas.
During the ensuing investigation, three juvenile suspects were identified. Detectives with the Great Bend Police Department served two search warrants within Great Bend, Kansas in reference to the location of stolen property. As a result, numerous property items were seized as evidence and secured at the Great Bend Police Department.
Detectives confirmed the theft of the items occurred at different locations including unoccupied vehicles and attached garage areas, and the three suspects were subsequently arrested. Several items the detectives collected have been processed and released to their appropriate owners.
The Police Department believes that other vehicles were targeted and that the vehicle owners may not be aware that they had items stolen from them. Several items known to have been stolen are still in our custody as we attempt to identify the owners. Photos of several of those items are shown below.


The Great Bend Police Department is requesting that anyone who may have not reported a theft that occurred last week contact our patrol division and allow the detectives to determine if items they seized belong to you.
