Barton Community College recognizes employees for years of service

Barton Community College hosted a President’s Forum in April, offering campus updates, a question-and-answer session with college leadership, and recognition of employees for their years of service.

The following individuals were recognized during the ceremony:

- Benefits Specialist Rebecca Jamieson, 5 years
- Stewardship Coordinator Amy Wheeler, 5 years
- Institutional Effectiveness Coordinator Lora Zink, 5 years
- Campus Safety Officer Joseph Hathaway, 10 years
- Mechanical Systems Supervisor Kent Knaple, 10 years
- Director of EMS Education Nick Larmer, 10 years
- Director of Learning Design Megan Schiffelbein, 10 years
- Custodian Brenda Worley, 10 years
- Senior Systems Engineer Angie Jones, 15 years
- Director of Grants Krystall Barnes, 15 years
- Coordinator of Enterprise Applications Shelli Schmidt, 15 years
- Tutor (Fort Riley) Laura Turner, 20 years
- Transcript Coordinator Jessica Vsetecka, 20 years

Barton President Dr. Marcus Garstecki expressed his appreciation for the honorees.

“Barton’s culture is built on people who show up every day with purpose and heart to serve our students and the college,” he said. “Our service award recipients represent the best of who we are as an institution, dedicated professionals who care deeply about students, colleagues, and the community we serve.”
