A little teamwork will go a long way at this summer's Pawnee County Fair. Last week, the Larned City Council, Pawnee County Commission, and Pawnee County Fair Board reached an agreement to pave the area between the fair building and the John M. Lewis &amp; Sons Livestock Center at the fairgrounds. Larned Mayor William Nusser said concrete will replace a sandy area for better wheelchair mobility.

"It's just an interesting thing there because the city owns the ground, and the county owns the building," he said. "We're just working together to get some more paved area for ADA accessibility."

Nusser said the concrete work is expected to be completed ahead of this year's Pawnee County Fair, which is scheduled for July 24-29.
