The Great Bend Recreation Commission will be hosting a free Stop ‘N Learn Session titled “Lower Your Risk of Breast Cancer” on Wednesday, October 27th, from 12:00 – 1:00 pm at the Great Bend Rec Activity Center (2715 18th Street).
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast cancer is second to lung cancer as a cancer death in American women. This program will help identify the risk factors for developing cancer and will give examples of lifestyle choices that will help reduce the risk of breast cancer.
The presentation will also be available on the Great Bend Rec Facebook page as a live event. Berny Unruh, Cottonwood Extension District Family & Community Wellness Agent, will be the speaker for the program.
