If you’d like to be part of an elite group of people and support your community at the same time, then consider joining a special volunteer program at the Fort Larned National Historic Site. Fort Larned Regulars specialize in drill, uniform and military practice of the late 1860s as it represents the historic 3rd U.S. Infantry. The Fort Larned Regulars will also represent the Fort in local parades and events and is the closest thing to how the 3rd U.S. Infantry looked when it was at Fort Larned in 1868. Practices are held at 10 a.m. every third Saturday of the month. The next practice is July 18th.
