On Aug. 17, Kansas Lieutenant Governor David Toland visited Ellinwood to meet with the owners of INA Alert, Inc., a technology and security company.

“It was exciting to have Lt. Governor David Toland and members of the Office of Rural Prosperity come to enjoy Ellinwood and share what tech INA Alert offers,” said INA Alert President Laura Strecker. “It's always great to have guests from the State Capital.”

The meeting took place in the company’s shop, where Laura and Chief Operating Officer Nick Strecker took the representative on a tour through the facility while discussing the company’s history and their plans to continue the business’s growth.

A tech startup located in Ellinwood, a town with a population hovering around 2,000, INA Alert currently has 45 employees, many of whom reside in Ellinwood, and plans to add more jobs within the next several months.

The meeting was one of many stops for Lt. Governor Toland and his group, as he had plans to visit several small towns in Kansas over the course of the day. Toland was accompanied by Trisha Purdon, the Director of the Office of Rural Prosperity, along with others from the office.

Laura Strecker summed up the meeting, saying, “We enjoyed sharing our town and our story of how INA Alert came to be.”
