Downtown Hoisington is set to come alive this Labor Day weekend during the 130th Annual Labor Day Celebration, featuring two massive nights of live music, food, and community fun.
Saturday Night: Free Concert with Nashville Artist Jadynce Jean
The festivities kick off on Saturday, Sept. 5, on Main Street. The Knights of Columbus will be hosting a beer garden while Meyers Enterprises LLC sponsors a free live concert starting at 8 p.m.
Local favorite and Nashville recording artist Jadynce Jean, who has spent several years captivating audiences as an opening act for the Sunday night festivities, takes center stage as the main event. This year, she returns bigger than ever, bringing her full band show downtown for an unforgettable performance.
Sunday Night: Annual Street Dance Hits Downtown
The excitement continues Sunday, Sept. 6, with the chamber switching up the traditional lineup for the annual Street Dance, sponsored by Innovative Livestock Services and Great Bend Feedlot.
The evening begins at 8 p.m. with opening act Makayla Brownlee. A Southern Kansas singer-songwriter and Season 18 American Idol Top 40 finalist, Brownlee earned national recognition with her Hollywood Golden Ticket performance.
Following her set, feature act Crazy Horse 2.0 will take over with a high-energy mix of 90s country classics and current hits. Reunited in 2019, the band features original members Randy Parker, Tracy Quinn, and Hoisington native Jack Flagor on drums, alongside newest member Pat Shiew.
There is no admission fee for Saturday's Jadynce Jean show. Admission for Sunday's street dance is $10 for anyone 10 years of age and older, and $5 for kids age 3-9. There is no admission fee for children 2 years of age and younger. An open beer garden and food vendors will be available for both events.
